President Trump Welcomes Relatives of Shot Guard Soldiers to White House

Former President Donald Trump stated on Sunday that he has extended an invitation the loved ones of a National Guard member killed last week to come to the White House.

He added that he spoke to her family and they were “devastated”.

Information on the Tragic Shooting

Soldier Sarah Beckstrom, twenty years old, was killed in a shooting on Wednesday in DC.

Her colleague, Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, remains hospitalized in grave state.

Memorials across the state have occurred in their honor.

White House Offer

The commander-in-chief explained he’s proposed a visit to the White House for the parents of both members of the West Virginia National Guard.

“I said: ‘When you’re ready, because that’s a hard experience, arrive at the White House. We’re going to honor Sarah,” Trump addressed the press. “And likewise with Andrew, whether he recovers or not.”

Public Response

Mourners came together over the weekend at the high school in the state to pay respects to Beckstrom.

Both the soldiers had been serving with the state guard as part of Trump’s government program to aid policing efforts in Washington DC.

Remembering Beckstrom

“Sarah was the type of pupil that instructors desired. She carried herself with calm resilience, a contagious smile and a optimistic attitude that inspired those around her,” Hankins, the leader of Beckstrom’s previous school, told the media. “She was kind, compassionate and always ready to help others.”

Funeral details for Sarah are in the process of planning.

Legal Steps and Policy Revisions

Law enforcement have accused a twenty-nine-year-old Afghan national with one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder while carrying a weapon.

The tragedy led the administration to halt asylum applications and temporarily stop providing visas to holders of travel documents.

Condition of Andrew Wolfe

Andrew Wolfe, a resident of the city, began his service in 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of Musselman High, as reported by the Associated Press.

He continues to receive treatment and is “fighting for his life”, the state’s leader Patrick Morrisey mentioned on a news program.

The state’s top lawyer the attorney general informed a news show that she aimed to meet with Wolfe’s family.

Memory of the Fallen Soldier

Beckstrom, from her hometown, graduated from Webster County high school in 2023 and began her service not long after, serving as a military police officer with excellence, according to the state guard.

“She had a lot of kindness and she definitely had fortitude,” the governor informed the crowd at the service. “Though her time ended too soon, she has left a mark that’s going to be remembered always.”
