The Ideal Pocket Monster Tales: Z-A Mega Evolution Based on Your Astrological Sign

This return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited widespread enthusiasm within the fandom. Starting with the one-by-one reveal of newcomers before the game's release, to trainers forming firm opinions on the entire roster of new Megas, there's a lot for fans to look forward to.

Given many of the Mega Evolutions boasting distinctive designs that highlight their traits, one thought naturally: What's the best way to connect this with astrology? The following is inspired by a mix of vibes, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.

The Ram – Super Camerupt

To be truthful, Houndoom was almost chosen for this fire sign, as both are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that evoke the most fear. But, a Mega Houndoom comes across as always angry, which isn't typical of the Ram's energy, known for being playful, cheerful, and spontaneous. This makes the Ram much more similar to Super Camerupt, which solely spews lava when provoked. Stay on the good side of both and enjoy a strong partner; should you offend them, be ready to get burned.

Taurus – Mega Heracross

Similar to a loyal Taurus, the steadfast Heracross, both in its standard and Super Form, has assisted many players in Legends: Z-A. While trustworthy, both the Pokémon and a Bull are also Fighting types, and – be it their trainer or a firm belief – will stand up for their position unwaveringly. The thing about Mega Heracross that recalls most of my Bull-sign companions, however, is its unabashed passion for snacks. Several past official descriptions note their craving for sweet sap and how it employs its appendage to collect it everything, which is pure Taurus energy.

The Twins – Super Medicham

Look at this total royalty. It's impossible to tell me this Pokémon is not the soul of every party, providing an endless fountain of chatter to those who wants to listen. Just like an enrapturing, gregarious Twins, it's very simple to imagine Mega Medicham mesmerizing an entire Wild Zone with their stories. This Pokémon's official description also states its ability to foresee an enemy’s next moves, which sounds very similar to a people-smart Gemini.

Cancer – Super Manectric

The Crab is commonly regarded as the most emotional sign of the zodiac, a passionate sign known for frequently getting wrapped up in their emotions. According to the official info, Mega Evolution charges the Pokémon with a “tremendous amount of energy, but it's too much for Manectric to completely manage,” which sounds a lot like a typical Cancer emotional outburst. This Pokémon is also known for its capability to make a storm cloud over its very head – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is going to do, it’s rain on their good time.

The Lion – Mega Starmie

Well, did you think I was planning to pick the lion Pokémon for the lion of the stars? Besides the fact that it would be much too on the nose, Leo is obviously Super Starmie, the star whose legs just became an internet sensation for being too glamorous (or horrifying, based on your taste). Fans couldn’t look away from the violet starfish, and that’s precisely the identical energy a Leo brings to the scene. This Pokémon is also said to be broadcasting radio waves from its center out into space, and it’s typical of a Lion to be staging a show, even if for aliens.

The Maiden – Mega Victreebel

The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Maiden is ideally represented in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with perpetual digestive issues. The sign famous for being endearingly critical is strongly mirrored across this creature's entire evolutionary chain, from a perpetually shocked expression like a Virgo when you inform them you lack a retirement plan, to its upside-down visage that’s similar to the emoji a Virgo posts to the group chat when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” instead of making a plan.

Libra – Super Audino

Look at this sweet, empathetic creature, who uses the sensors on its auditory organs to tell how others are emotionally by their heartbeat. Consistently empathetic – sometimes to a detriment – and trying to maintain the harmony, there are many Scales who would probably appreciate Mega Audino’s abilities. Though, let’s be honest, it would probably just cause them to stress even more about others.

The Scorpion – Super Banette

Banette is a creature with a surprisingly tragic origin: Abandoned as a toy, it gained consciousness through sheer hatred and swore revenge on its previous caretaker. Per the official info, Super Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That seems exactly like many discussions I’ve had with my intense Scorpion friends. A Scorpio adores karma and retribution, making them the perfect match with Mega Banette.

Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha

Both Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are constantly staging a show. As a Archer personally, the number of occasions I’ve referred to myself some version of a “silly little jester” is countless. The showiest and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its description even mentions how it “flexes to display its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Archer match I can imagine.

The Goat – Mega Absol

Did you know that a Mega Absol has the ability to predict disasters ahead of time? That exudes the exact same energy as a Capricorn, who tends to consistently believe they’re right. Interestingly, much like a visionary Super Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the absolute initial Mega Evolution that trainers encounter in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to join the beginning of the Mega trend.

The Water Bearer – Mega Chandelure

Aloof element Water Bearer is arguably the non-flame sign that is most like a flame symbol – its sister sign is Leo, and there are countless memes about Sagittarius and Aquarius being chaotic partners in crime. Super Chandelure's dual Spirit/Flame typing matches seamlessly with this, and the Mega’s overall intimidating presence is also extremely Aquarius. If you hadn't yet persuaded, the Super Form's Pokédex entry says it “absorbs negative energy and transforms it into strength.” If that fails to perfectly {encaps
