The visionary game developer, who helped create the wildly popular franchise Call of Duty, has died in a traffic collision in Los Angeles, California he was 55 years old.

His passing was verified by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio he co-founded.

The renowned industry figure lost his life when his automobile collided and burst into flames on a freeway in LA on Sunday, as reported by.

"This is a devastating loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's loved ones, his family, and everyone impacted by his work," an official with Electronic Arts commented.
